Purnell's over 1,300 alumnae are a dynamic group of women who continue to play an important role in the life of the School through their service on the Board of Trustees, the Emerging Leadership Council, and their ongoing financial support of Purnell. Alumnae have strengthened the School's programs through support of the endowment, gifts to the annual campaign and support of capital projects over the years. They are a successful group of women who maintain a variety of careers and continue to give back to their own communities and families.

The alumnae stay connected via Facebook and Twitter, and utilize our online community for networking purposes or to find "Purnellians" nearby when moving to a new city or college. Through our events across the nation and on campus, alumnae gather to catch up with friends, hear about students today and share insights on many topics of interest to women of college age on up. 

Every third spring, Purnell hosts an Alumnae Weekend welcoming back all of the School's graduates, with special celebrations for reunion classes, and honoring their many achievements through the Alumna of the Year award and many Hall of Fame inductions.
