Meals at Purnell

All meals are held in Baker Dining Hall, located between Custis and Boyton Dormitories

Breakfast: Breakfast is held every morning directly following Morning Meeting. Breakfast is open seating, which means that students can choose where they would like to sit.

Lunch & Dinner: Attendance at weekday lunches and dinners is mandatory. For these meals seats are assigned and rotate every two weeks; each table has at least one faculty member or student leader. Mealtimes are made more pleasant by adhering to a common standard of good manners. Students are expected to follow the Dining Hall etiquette procedures as described throughout the school year. After every lunch and dinner during the week, announcements are made concerning sign-ups, meeting times, etc.

Meal Permissions: Meal permissions are available on weekends and on Wednesday nights. They allow a student to go off-campus during a meal time. All meal permissions must be approved by the Dean of Students or Director of Residential Life.
