Parent Community Events

Throughout the year, parents and families are invited to join us at events on and off campus. Below is a brief listing of some of the events designed to maintain our relationship with you as parents. You will receive invitations by mail to these events and other regional events in your area.

    • Grandparents and Special Friends' Day held in the fall season, is an opportunity for other family members to meet teachers, tour the campus and enjoy some time with the student. All grandparents (whose information has been provided) will be invited on this day. Other guests are welcome. 

    • Fall Family Weekend and Spring Showcase are designed to offer parents the opportunity to get to know their daughter's teachers, participate in discussions, watch student performances and enjoy the beauty of the campus. All parents and siblings are invited on these weekends. Invitations are mailed and these events are listed on the calendar.

    • Dinners with the Head of School are held throughout the fall to provide a more intimate setting for new families to get to know more about Purnell and discuss their experience. These dinners are hosted at Brook House by the Head of School and other parent leaders and are by invitation.
    • Regional events are also held throughout the year and across the country for parents, alumnae, and friends to gather and hear more about what is happening at Purnell. In addition, a special gathering is hosted in New York City each holiday season. You will be informed of all events in your area and these events are listed on the calendar.
