Affording a Purnell School Education - 2008-2009
A Purnell School education is an investment in your daughter and her future.  The School is mindful of the sacrifices that families make to support their children in receiving the best possible education.  Purnell therefore has developed several payment options to allow a wide variety of families and their daughters to benefit from a Purnell education.

Choosing the plan that is right for you enables you to finance a Purnell education in a manner that suits your family's needs.  After reviewing the School's payment plans and loan option, we hope that you will find that the opportunity for your daughter to receive a quality education is attainable.

This plan is arranged through TMS  1-800-KEY-LEND; http://www.key.com/.
4. Tuition Management Services Payment Plan #3 (Monthly Budgeting Plan-Option 2):  The balance of the Tuition and Fees after the initial deposit is paid will be divided into 10 equal monthly installments beginning April 15 and ending January 15.  This plan is arranged through Key Bank:  1-800-KEY-LEND; http://www.key.com/

Financial Aid
As part of our commitment to helping qualified students and their families afford a Purnell School education, the School offers need-based financial aid.  To be considered for financial aid, all students must have been accepted for admission or reenrollment.

How to Apply for Financial Aid
1. Indicate you will be a candidate for financial aid on your application, or call the Admission Office and request an application for financial aid.  You will receive a copy of the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS).
2. Parents and/or legal guardians should complete and sign the PFS.  Answer all questions as completely as possible and be certain to list Purnell School (Code # 5944) as a recipient of the Report of Financial Need.
3. Make two copies of the completed and signed PFS forms.
4. Return the original PFS, with the appropriate filing fee, to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, NJ.  This should be done no later than January 15th if your application is to be given full consideration.  If this date has passed, please send the completed forms as soon as possible.
5. Keep one copy of the PFS for your records, and send the other directly to Purnell School.
6. Send a copy of your 2006 and 2007 Federal Income Tax Return and a copy of your 2007 W-2 to the Purnell School Admission Office.  If your 2007 tax return is not available, send a copy of your 2006 return with an explanation of any significant changes regarding the 2007 return.
7. In cases of divorced or separated parents, it is the policy of Purnell School that both parents retain the obligation to contribute to their daughter's education whether or not there is a legal agreement between them to do so.  Both natural parents should, therefore, provide the financial information that is requested by the School each year.
8. The Admission Office should receive all forms no later than February 15th.

Renewal of a Financial Aid Award
Financial aid decisions are made on an annual basis, and we ask that families reapply for aid each year.  The Financial Aid Committee then reevaluates student grants.  Grant amounts may vary, depending on changes in the parents' financial situation.
