Introducing the Summer Institute for Teachers 
During each weeklong session, public and private school teachers will participate in high quality learning sessions geared toward improving schools, enhancing classroom instruction, and maximizing students' learning experiences.Each session features a reading assignment to be completed before arriving, lectures and learning modules, opportunities for reflection and discussion, and ample time to create action plans, lessons, or activities to utilize in the fall.

A Unique Experience
Purnell School is a small, all girls' boarding high school situated in beautiful,pastoral Pottersville, New Jersey that educates a diverse population of students whose potential has not previously been realized. Purnell School approaches learners as individuals, and encourages students to discover and utilize their unique strengths so that they may find success in and out of high school. Purnell teachers make a commitment to continuously enhancing the craft of teaching, and the Teaching Center aims to encourage other teachers to be on the cutting edge of education as well.

Accommodations & Transportation
Overnight accommodations at Purnell School, as well as breakfast and lunch, are included in the course tuition, and schools receive discounts on tuition for sending multiple teachers to the Summer Institute. Transportation to and from Newark Airport is also available upon request.

SESSION 2: INDIVIDUALIZING HIGH SCHOOL FOR EACH STUDENT, JULY 12-17
SESSION 3: CAREERS AND COLLEGE: GUIDING STUDENTS TO THEIR POST HIGH SCHOOL LIVES, JULY 19-24
SESSION 4A: TECHNOLOGY FOR TODAY'S CLASSROOM, JULY 26-31
SESSION 4B: NEW TEACHERS' INSTITUTE, JULY 26-31
SESSION 5: TEACHING GIRLS: SINGLE SEX EDUCATION 101, AUGUST 2-7

Participants will be provided with a certificate of Professional Development Documentation upon completion of each session.

Tuition
$700 for one session; $600 each session if registered for 2 or more sessions
Double room accommodations: $625 for one session; $550 each session if registered for 2 or more sessions
Save and send multiple teachers: Receive a $50 discount on tuition for each additional person attending from one school.
