Professional performing, visual, and commercial artists share their talents in workshops with Purnell students during E. B. Osborn Artists-in-Residence Weekend.
Students attend workshops where they not only get advice from working artists but also have an opportunity for hands-on experience. Friday and Saturday night of the weekend culminate in performances, often given by some of the workshop instructors.
Past E. B. Osborne artists have included Judith Jamison, the choreographer and artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Billy Collins, the poet laureate of the United States.
