A variety of special traditions bring meaning and ritual to the community. These significant events include the beginning of the year wish circle, the Ring Ceremony, class events, Senior trip, Senior Revue, holiday vespers and graduation. Many more "Purnellisms" take place throughout the year giving the school a warm memorable atmosphere where the everyday takes on an aura of true importance.

Each girl is a member of either the Red Team or Blue Team and special events throughout the year bring the teams together in healthy competition.
